The use of medicines to prevent illness or restore health is well accepted by everyone. We consider it logical and elementary approach to the aims of medical practice, and yet today also advocates the use of therapeutic substances to other objectives not related to the disease, but with the strengthening or development of certain functions (for ergogenic) or enhancing aesthetics of the image of our own body (cosmetic purposes). This happens more with certain athletes, like gymnasts.
If you had asked a man for three decades in a gym, in sports, the most likely answer would have been, and feel stronger, leaner and more dynamic. The same question today would, apart from that type of response, quite another as well earned muscle and lose fat, so I feel better and, of course, more attractive.
The objectives will now move to an athlete to make the decision to medicate is different depending on their level of training and sports environment that is. Thus, in the case of competitive athletes, the use of doping substances mainly seeks to achieve a better exercise tolerance and further development of physical skills that lead to better marks.
However, in the case of amateur athletes, especially those doing physical activity in gyms, the reasons lie more in the quest for greater muscle development, fat loss and body shape modeled in the image of an ideal model .
